Ryan Hampton
Assistant Project Officer – Restoring Rivers and CatchmentsRyan completed his Geography BSc at Queen Mary, University of London, which involved studies on river processes and ecology throughout the UK and Europe and a dissertation study looking into Pollution in the River Test, Hampshire. He worked in finance after graduating during Covid, before making the career change to environmental consultancy, specialising in contaminated land and remediation.
He utilises his passion for renaturalisation with his educational background in natural sciences to enhance rivers and surrounding ecosystems in the South East.
Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, fitness, and spending time outdoors. He has walked El Camino de Santiago several times and can often be found walking around the countryside training for his next trip!
