Specialist Lead Monitoring and Evidence – Water, Land and Catchments

Arjen brings over 25 years of international experience working at the interface of water, data and climate from across Africa and South Asia. His drive is to ensure that everyone, everywhere, can enjoy their human right to safe water — even as climate change is happening.

At SERT, Arjen is Specialist Lead Monitoring and Evidence and he makes sure the information and data are of the highest quality, so that decisions, policies and recommendations are grounded in trusted evidence.

Being Dutch, Arjen has a natural affinity for anything water-related — even when it's hiding - which is probably which led him to do an MSc in Hydrogeology.

Outside of work, he's an old-school raver and a keen long-distance runner.
