George Biggs
Project Officer – Water and Land StewardshipGeorge completed his Environmental Science BSc at the University of York before spending six months in Malaysia, working to restore coral reefs and conserve the turtle population on the island. Upon returning, he worked at an environmental consultancy, aiming to map and mitigate the impact of aquatic pollution across the Thames Basin.
As a Project Officer within the Water and Land Stewardship Team for the South East Rivers Trust, George combines his passion for restoration with his working experience of both charities and consultancies to deliver positive changes across the South East.
In his own time, George love hikes and long walks across the Surrey Hills with a coffee in hand. He’s also an avid rugby fan, living only a short distance from the Harlequins home ground in Twickenham, although found his skills in the sport to be better suited cheering from the stands or the sofa!
